Reflections of Light
The Light Page
by Suzie Black
Every time has a focus that allows you to flourish and grow in a particular way.
These times reflect shifts in the world or personal view.
This time is one of personal self-acceptance, both of what we CAN do, what we can't,
and how best to take responsibility for the road ahead. The opportunity is to step
onto a higher path -- personally and within human consciousness.
The atmosphere is the emotional body of the earth, and so the weather often reflects
what we are doing. Deep freezes allow introspection, and storms can be for emotional
release like a temper tantrum.
The terrorist events allow us to look outward and see how others might view us. From
the American perspective, many thought everything was just fine. Obviously that view
was different in other parts of the world. We've all seen that lately.
Different lenses
Perspective is an interesting thing. It's possible to see oneself through different
lenses. We usually choose one that is flattering! It's not always the one that is
the most accurate. If the view is in conflict with what our ethics and morality base
might be, that conflict creates a shift in the events outside of us as we grasp to
make all our actions congruent on the internal landscape. It is in this way we create
events that seem to be "negative," or severe growing opportunities. It
is STILL true that "we create our own reality." We can do that much more
consciously.
As we each gain consciousness, we have the advantage of looking at the world and
ourselves in new ways.
While channeling, I heard of the possibilities that stand before us in view of the
September 11 event, and that we could have that sort of experience again if significant
shift does not come from the opportunities we have. These explosions serve to create
change, and it is hoped we change without needing an added push.
That may seem to induce fear, which is a central issue on the world stage at this
time.
I hope to explain how this is a possibility for power and strength, not fear.
Vision of oneness
Another issue being brought up now is that all consciousness (including humanity)
is ONE. Our nation offers a vision of "Oneness," which at times we have
taken into the path of egotism and individual worth. One nation indivisible signifies
the unity of more than the nation, because we are a microcosm of possibility for
growth, wealth and success to the world. Now the stage is set for the entire world
to shift up to that level.
As we grasp to make sense of the differences between internal and external realities,
it helps to know that change can be made on any level.
One of the main keys is to realize that there is simply no way you can "lie"
to yourself or color things in a certain way and "get away with it." The
rose-colored glasses are not working anymore. In point of fact, we don't "get
away with" anything. Ever. It's just a matter of time. Any event that is not
in alignment with deep core beliefs creates external events that offer the space
to become congruent.
Most people are aware that if they need a break and don't take one, they get "sick."
If they simply say, "OK, I'll stay home" -- especially if it's done as
soon as awareness dawns that better judgment is being over-ridden, or at the first
sniffle -- the supposed sickness may simply vanish.
We do not stand in victimization of the viruses on the planet.
Physical shifts
Sometimes change in consciousness requires shifts on the physical level. Occasionally
a cold or flu will be the body's way of literally letting go of the physical matter
of an old way of being. Acceptance of the change and complete letting go of the old
self makes even this happen more easily.
There essentially IS no external or internal. There just "is" consciousness
and growth of more consciousness.
The one eternal truth I have found to be the essence of the law of the Universe is
this: Thou shall not violate another.
Out of violation comes the extremes of growth potential. September 11 was an extreme
violation.
Fear is an outcome of September 11, so many central lessons grow from there -- at
least at this time in human evolution. In fact, overcoming fear as a prime motivation
for growth is part of what world consciousness is attempting at this time.
So, how do we see fear operating? Obviously, changes in our personal lives come from
fearful (or perceived) possibilities, but beyond that, the economy is a general barometer
of the emotional state of the country. (Just as the atmosphere is for the earth.)
The more fear we buy into, the more challenge we have economically.
So the stock market report has a deep correlation to the weather report!
Conflict in belief systems
We are not at the mercy of world events. We create them through conflict in our belief
systems. Some levels of that are hard to "own." That's all right. Just
take a step at a time -- particularly at this time. Do not get overwhelmed by the
velocity of change. Take a breath; take it easier. Do not buy into fear.
Fear creates an economic downturn all by itself. So does excessive debt, for the
self believes it has no worth at some level, while wanting to be worthy on another;
a paradox.
One very powerful way to use this time is to see how your actions, and thoughts impact
the microcosm/macrocosm. You ARE having an effect.
I often have people say they simply do not see the reason for their job. Certainly
they must need to contribute in a larger way! If a large amount of energy is spent
"resenting" going to work, then growth stalls. This is similar to a heat
wave or the dog days of summer. More heat, less movement.
Inaccurate picture
What is usually inaccurate in such situations as when the job isn't shifting is:
• Your perception of what contributes.
• Your lack of appreciation for what is happening in your reality at the moment.
All growth is coming from your own need and desire to grasp the next level of awareness.
If someone does not "see" what is next, the current situation simply escalates
in power until it is perceived.
This is the 2 x 4 from the Universe story. First your shoulder is tapped: "Hey,
look at this." Then a toe is tromped upon. "Ouch...." Then, the 2
x 4. (By the way, the easiest way to escape the 2 x 4 is when life gets the least
bit sticky, ask yourself, "What could I surrender or let go of now?")
Furthermore, in the scenario of a potential job shift, resentment CEMENTS that need
to grow into place -- so you don't get a new job. Often people do not see that the
possibility to shift would be there if they quit "throwing energy" into
hating it! More energy and it stays there. Get neutral to it and -- voila! New job.
The way out is to appreciate what you do to contribute. As you do that, you naturally
let go of resentment. Let go enough and you'll appreciate yourself!
You're contributing
In ANY job, you are contributing to the economy as a whole, and you are helping others
make a living by paying bills, etc. If you're moving money around, you are doing
at least that much!
There are larger levels in which to be aware.
How do you think consciousness shifts, anyway? Leaders go in and open the possibility
for change. Some of the changes going on ARE happening in corporate levels. Such
as:
• Heart-felt compassion.
• Helping others be more of who they are, not less.
• Win-win consciousness, where the more you give, the more you get.
• Equality of humanity at all levels. Relating to others as equals. (Microsoft is
playing this out on the larger level if you can see it.)
So how do you think corporate America
is going to change if someone does not go in there with a higher moral code and DO
it?
One of the main focus points in this time of late fall and winter of 2001 is to realize
where you can contribute to the larger shift happening in consciousness.
One main force in effect right now is that of compassion for others and appreciation
for self and others. (Compassion for self is the next level coming.)
Now, we may want to put on a more flattering perception of ourselves and see sweeping
change happen because of us. That is simply ego. Ego stops more growth than almost
anything else. What is needed is humility. As you see your greater place in the whole,
humility is a natural outgrowth. You ARE important, both within the larger scheme
of things and in your life. But, at the same time, each of us sees ourselves as insignificant
behind the sweeping changes happening.
These changes can seem overwhelming.
Promote growth
If you're willing to see more, ask your higher self or soul to show you the ways
in which you could promote growth more rapidly. I can guarantee you the opportunity
to see through self-righteousness and ego (the lovely lens that WE get to be right
and others are wrong).
IF you look closely, you'll see this is exactly what is occurring on the world stage
right now. America is no longer always "right."
We make changes by changing ourselves. We assist growth by seeing ourselves as capable
of change, and letting go of the ways that do not work.
In the rapid change path of the classes I teach, there is one principle thing I look
for that signifies that a person will be successful no matter how accelerated the
path: The capacity to take responsibility for his or her own actions.
We have that potential standing in front of us in the world arena. The more we do
that personally, the faster worldwide transformation into peace WILL happen.
We WILL have peace on earth. The opportunity standing before us is if we will have
it in THIS lifetime.
