Fulfillment Foundation teachers offer classes in the Twin Cities
Currently, there are three people in the Twin Cities, who through training offered by Fulfillment Foundation International, now offer mantras for meditation (to individuals or in groups), classes in expanding consciousness (in groups or correspondence if out of town), karmic release process (individual or in groups) and the Kwan Yin healing mantra (in a group). In February, nine other people from the Twin Cities will be going to Thailand for teacher training.
The following are the experiences of the three current teachers with Fulfillment Foundation meditation, in their own words.

Jean M. Wallis

I'm a Fulfillment Foundation International teacher based here in Minneapolis. I have been a teacher for nearly two years now and involved with the Foundation for nearly four.

Prior to my interest in the Fulfillment Foundation International, I had a couple of mainstream careers that evolved into doing spiritual business consultation work and finally spiritual alchemy healing and energy work.

In 1998-99 I heard about Bob Fickes, the founder of the organization, from a couple of different directions. I went out to Seattle to meet him and attend a couple of his offerings and very much felt the soul in the work! As one thing led to another, he began to come to Minneapolis to teach, offer karmic release processes and offer mantras for meditation. After working with the meditation and other offerings for a while, I found them such an easy way to release karma and create peace. I was thoroughly excited about such an easy way to create such deep and long lasting change. The second time I went to Thailand to study with Bob, I found myself becoming a teacher in this tradition.

Since starting to do this style of meditation I have really noticed things shift within myself and in my outer life. From an internal perspective, I have become more aware of my patterns and am easier able to change those I don't find as supportive to my growth as I would like. I also have a still, calm place within me that I can more easily find to be in when the outer world gets chaotic or out of balance. This place acknowledges the outer world and is still able to relate to it, but the feeling I have is one of inner peace and acceptance. This is being "in" the world, but not "of" the world as they say.

In the outer realm, within months of beginning this meditation practice I was able to release some negative habits I had without struggling to do so. I also noticed a profound effect on my family and their ability to choose to release some very difficult habits as well. People who come in contact with me also often mention the peacefulness they sense, and these are not necessarily people in the spiritual community. I know this is Source rising to the surface due to the meditation practice.

I enjoy every day going into meditation and connecting with the Source energy. It's like a wonderful visit Home.

Mabel Nichols

I have been a spiritual seeker all my life. I grew up Catholic and spent 11 years in a convent, where I was introduced to the riches of Franciscan Spirituality. I later left the order, married and raised a family. I currently own and operate Coat of Many Colors, an import clothing and jewelry store on Grand Avenue in St. Paul.

I had tried various forms of meditation prior to being introduced to Fulfillment Meditation. Always I would become discouraged and quit because I was aware there was a deeper level, a deeper connection to God that I was not accessing.
I met Bob Fickes, my current teacher, in November 1999, and almost immediately recognized that this would be different. I received the heart mantra at that time, and in the three years since I have almost never missed a meditation.

Everything in my life runs more smoothly since I have been meditating. My home life and all my relationships are more harmonious. I feel younger. My health is better. Everything I have wanted to change in my life is changing more quickly. I have more energy, especially late in the day, as my energy level picks up after my afternoon meditation.

Finding Fulfillment Meditation has been for me like finding the pearl of great price spoken of in the Bible, that profound connection to God.

The EDGE newspaper and Jean Wallis actually were equally responsible for introducing me to Bob Fickes. Jean had spoken to me about meeting Bob in Seattle at a meditation workshop there and that he would be coming to the Twin Cities to teach. However, I was already well acquainted with other forms of meditation and wasn't interested in learning another one, but he did sound like someone I'd enjoy having a private session with. Time passed and I forgot all about Bob's visit here.

One day over breakfast I looked through the EDGE and "BAMMO," there was a photo of Bob and an accompanying article! The degree of connection and recognition I felt on seeing that photo was tremendous! Immediately, I called Jean to see if any appointments were left to have a session with Bob. Nope. I had waited too long to call, so the only way I could see this guy was to attend the meditation workshop that weekend.

Despite my grumbling that I did not need to learn another meditation practice, I showed up at the Fulfillment Foundations' Heart Mantra Workshop and it absolutely changed my life. As soon as we were initiated with the Heart Mantra and sat in the first meditation, I felt like I had come home. There was an instant immersion in Source...God...Creator that I had hungered for all my life and had only had glimpses of. Not only that, but it was a dependable experience that I could count on every time I sat in practice!

At the same workshop, I saw the Thai Shamanic healing performed for the first time, and I was quite impressed. I've been able to see auras and energy since childhood and was amazed at the amount of congestion and density being removed with these healing tools. Little did I know at the time that I'd end up journeying to Thailand with Jean and Mabel to learn these techniques, as well as become a teacher of this form of meditation!

In addition to the weekly Tuesday night Thai style healings we offer, we also have a great curriculum of classes available that tackle such things as the nature of karma, the 12 states of consciousness and what exactly is enlightenment? I have had a great time teaching classes and we are all just so excited to have nine people out of those who have completed these classes going to Teacher Training in Thailand in February!

Prior to becoming involved with Fulfillment Meditation practice, most of my energy was focused on meeting the needs of my private practice as an Intuitive and Healer through Evergreen Center of Natural Healing in St. Paul. Balance was a word I used but not something practiced all too well in my daily life! Since beginning this path a few years ago, there is far more balance in my life.

My spiritual practice as an adult includes walking the Red Road and being of service to all beings with what the Elders of various Nations have taught me. This path is quite compatible with Fulfillment Meditation and Healing; both enrich the experience of the other.
