"Awakened Golden Solar
Angel"
by Cheryl Yambrach Rose
Mount Shasta is a temple of initiation in the tradition of the ancient mystery schools
-- a temple without walls. In this painting, the initiate awakens to her Divine destiny
and empowerment. The full, bloomed rose represents unfolded enlightenment. The mountain
is the view from the artist's studio
window. The lenticular clouds are the physical manifestation of the vortex there
and are seen often. In this and her other work from sacred sites, the artist aspires
to infuse Spirit into matter .
Cheryl Yambrach Rose has been painting in Mount Shasta for 20 years. She left a successful
portrait painting career in the Bay Area, where she had been represented by major
galleries from the age of 16.
Working with many authors and experts in the field, she travels to sacred sites to
recover ancient knowledge. Using historical data along with her psychic impressions
and visions, she creates an empowered work of art.
Excelling in spiritual portraiture, she has been commissioned and collected by James
Twyman, Neale Donald Walsch, Gary Zukav, Jean Houston, Steve Halpern and many others.
Her artwork has been shown worldwide, including the Nelson Rockefeller Collection,
a four-month showing at the Rosecrucian Egyptian Museum, and the Palace of Fine Arts
in San Francisco.
Her work is used in Gregg Braden's videos and workshops, and has been published in
London in books by Geoffrey Ashe and Moyra Caldecott. Her paintings have graced many
book, magazine and CD covers in the United States, including the Oregon Shakespeare
Festival's Illuminations magazine.
