Medicine The American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA) presents its annual scientific conference, The Science & Spirit of Good Medicine: 25 Years of Practice, Policy & Evidence, May 28-31 in San Diego, Calif. This silver anniversary conference will orient, heal and educate physicians and health-care professionals on the integration of the science the medical profession demands and the spirit patients desire, through presentations and workshops of evidence, experiential knowledge and review of existing efforts in holistic medicine. The AHMA was founded in 1978 to unite licensed physicians who practice holistic medicine. Membership is open to licensed medical doctors and doctors of osteopathic medicine from every specialty, and the medical students studying for those degrees. Associate membership is also open to those health-care practitioners certified, registered or licensed in the state in which they practice. The mission of the AHMA is to support practitioners in their evolving personal and professional development as healers and to educate physicians about holistic medicine. |
