John Ross MacKimmie has been working as an artist/illustrator in the Pioneer Valley
of Western Massachusetts for the past 15 years. He started drawing as a small child
and was fond of drawing and painting everything from elaborate cartoons to detailed
land and seascapes as a teenager. This gave way to an ever-increasing interest in
mythology, folklore, sacred places and cultures of antiquity. A fascination with
ancient history, fantasy and the metaphysical is reflected in much of his current
work.
